Aleksei (or Alexei) Ivanovich Kotov (Russia, 30.3.1928 - 18.11.2007)

Outstanding Russian chess composer from the village of Gusevka, in the vicinity of Volgograd, who settled in the vicinity of Leningrad.

From 1954 Kotov was interested in the chess problems and with greater dedication for the endgame studies.

Candidate to Master of Sports in chess composition and he published articles in specialized magazines.
