Henk L. Schuld (21.2.1875-1.9.1920) had a serious accident at the age of about 15, which left him blind. Nevertheless, he then began to work on the construction of chess problems and was one of the best Dutch chess composers at the beginning of the last century; around 200 problems can be traced back to him.
