Chess player, study composer and editor and member of the chess club Friesenberg
He was director of the endgame study site of the then "Schweizerischen Arbeit-Schachbundes (SASB)" published "Schweizerischen Arbeiter-Schachzeitung" from 1978 to 1995.
After the merger of both chess associations in 1995 to the "Schweizerischen Schachbund (SSB)"
Istvan Bajus also was director for the study page of the «Schweizerischen Schachzeitung» until 2013.
All in all Istvan Bajus, a member of the chess club Friesenberg, that is, a full 36 years of publishing his hobby, the endgame studies.
