Chess composer                                                                                                                                                                    Stanislav Maksimovich Tolstoy is the author of about 500 chess problems.

Russian composer of the region of Rostov at the Don, that in his military career reached the major degree. In 1929 he started composing problems and some studies. For 12 years he wrote in the newspaper "Rikinskaia Pravda", in 1976 he was a candidate for Master of Sport, and in 1983 he won the Armed Forces Champion in more than three plays.
