VOVSI MEYER SEMYONOVITCH, 13.05.1897, Kraslava; grad. from the Moscow Univ. in 1919; doctor of med. science; prof. acad. During WWII, chief therapist of the Red Army; awarded. Later was repressed and proclaimed as an "enemy of the people". Died in Moscow 06.06.1960 after the rehabilitation. His brother famous actor Michoels was killed by Stalin's order.
