Before her time at the embassy, she worked in Tel Aviv for Tech2Peace, which "provides high-tech and entrepreneurial training alongside conflict dialogue to young Palestinians and Israelis," according to its website.

Milgrim received two masters degrees -- one in international affairs from American University and another in natural resources and sustainable development from the University of Peace in Costa Rica -- and a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from the University of Kansas, according to her profile.

As she left the Capital Jewish Museum in DC she was gunned down by a marxist (Party for Socialism and Liberation), pro Palestine activist.

She was killed alongside her boyfriend, Yaron Lischinsky, who had purchased a ring and was planning to propose to her next week. Their shooter shouted “Free, Free, Palestine” after committing the crime.

Her grieving father revealed she was working on trying to help her humanitarian aid to Gaza:

“Last night, she was attending an affair to figure out how to get more aid into Gaza. The night she was killed, she was trying to help the situation – that’s the irony.”
