Thorleif Schjelderup (January 20, 1920 - May 28, 2006) was a Norwegian author and in the 1940s and 1950s one of Norway's best ski jumpers.
He was born in Aker as a son of Ferdinand Schjelderup and his wife Marie Leigh Vogt.
Schjelderup won a bronze medal in the 1948 Winter Olympics. That same year he met American singer Anne Brown, who moved with him to Oslo where the couple eventually married. Schjelderup previously been married tot he Norwegian actress and playwright Sossen Anker Olsen (later after her marriage to painter Guy Krohg known as Sossen krohg), from 1943 to 1947, behind him.
Schjelderup published his first essay in 1952 and then wrote books in the field of sports and on Norwegian nature until his death on May 28, 2006 at the age of 86.
