Mina Başaran (March 11,1990 – March 11, 2018) was a Turkish socialite, businesswoman, and the daughter of Hüseyin Başaran. Mina Towers, one of Istanbul’s biggest construction projects, is named after her.
Death
Başaran was killed in the 2018 Bombardier Challenger 604 crash, alongside seven of her friends, flying back from a party in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, ahead of her planned wedding on April 14, 2018, to Murat Gezer, owner of print shop Metprint Baskı Sistemler. Recep Tayyib Erdogan presented his condolences formally on live TV .
