In 1944 arrested for "Anti Soviet activity" and sentenced to 10 yr. in GULAG to Karaganda; then he studied at a medical school and became a dental technician; Returned to Riga in 1956, worked as a dental technician. First organizer of putting in order place of mass murders and burial in Rumbula. Published the book "Documentary History of the Jews of Riga".I n Israel since 1974. Died in 1990.A special plague to commemorate his name was brought from Israel to Rumbula. [pic]
