Hamlet Gehamovich Amiryan  (Armenia, * Sunday, 11.11.1934 in the zodiac sign of Scorpio  -  † Tuesday, 01.10.2013)

He was a very well-known chess study composer who published many chess studies during his lifetime.  

About his endgame studies  

Gehamovich Amiryan composed all his endgame studies without help and controll of the computer. Even in the computer age, he renounced the computer which is extremely rare among the study composers. Nevertheless with more then 500 composed studies he was one of the most productive composer in the world.

On the Dutch Website ARVES there are many chess studies with solution by Amiryan selected which shows his talent for chess composition.

Siegfried Hornecker wrote: "In EG 195 (January 2014) and 196 (April 2014) articles were published by Yochanan Afek about Amiryan's systematic manoeuvers in endgame studies and by Karen Sumbatyan about Amiryan's biography, respectively."
