Chess composer
Anton Oehrlein (1.11.1906-21.8.1944) is one of the "forgotten German two-move composers" to whom Hermann Albrecht paid tribute in March 1980 in an article with this title in the Problemist. Oehrlein was a chess composer who published his chess problems in organs of workers' chess. Like other Franconian problemists who also published there, however, he did not come from a proletarian background, but they probably simply utilised the regional publication opportunities available.
