Poul Rasch Nielsen (* Saturday, 17 September 1892 - † Saturday, 20 March 1965)
Danish chess composer and study composer
He published his first chess problem in 1927 in Skakbladet, the journal whose problem section he headed from 1933 to 1959. He was one of the delegates who took part in the (only) congress of the International Problem Board in Munich in 1936 (cf. issue 286A, page xi). Rasch Nielsen, who was a friend of Franz Palatz, had a particular fondness for the logical school and composed about 300 chess problems (2#, 3#, n#, s# and also chess studies).
