"Robert Darvas (16.7.1903-12.2.1957) was already composing in his early thirties, but then turned to bridge, in which he achieved the title of world champion. After the Second World War, he returned to chess composition, but focussed exclusively on the auxiliary mate. He succeeded in creating the first representation of the "aide complet", i.e. a four-phase h#2 with three thematic attempts, in each of which a first black, first white or second black move is missing in order to realise the ready mate"
