Life
Lobussow's parents worked as teachers and were at school until the evening. So he was left to his own devices and learnt to read relatively early. As a five-year-old, he picked up a chess textbook. In addition to the practical game, it also taught him some chess exercises. 

School and career
He finished secondary school in 1968 and graduated from the Plekhanov Institute of Economics in Moscow in 1974. He was a commodity analyst by profession. He died after a long illness.

Chess composition

Andrey Lobusov published his first chess problem at the age of 11, in 1962. From then on, he composed high quality chess problems, mainly two- and threemovers, but also some moremovers.
