Vito Rallo composed direct mates, helpmates and fairy chess problems.
His work (outside of chess)
He worked for many years as an employee of Banca Sicula and, after the merger with Banca Commerciale Italiana, as a lawyer for the latter.
Editor of chess problem magazines
Editor of the problem column of the chess magazine Torre & Cavallo - Scacco! until 2007. Editor of the problem solving column of Telescacco 2000, the official organ of the ASIGC (Italian Chess Association of Correspondence Chess Players) from 1992 to 2009 and from 2011 until today of the monthly ASIGC newsletter.
In 2016, he received the title of National Chess Composition Master, awarded by the API ( Italian Association for Chess Problematics )
