Chess composer
He was a versatile chess player: in 1923 he won the first French championship as a party player, in 1945 he became a correspondence chess champion, in addition he founded the “chess” corner of the Eclaireur de soir in Nice in 1922, which he ran until 1930 and made it the largest French “chess” corner, and he wrote books of very different kinds: in addition to works on opening theory, he also turned to problem chess, wrote Le problème d'échecs together with A. C. White, which appeared outside the Christmas series in 1924. C. White wrote Le problème d'échecs in 1924, which was published outside the Christmas series.
