Karl Engl (* January 14, 1888 in Hallein; † March 21, 1955 in the city of Salzburg) was a journalist and Christian Social politician in Salzburg.

Life
Engl completed an apprenticeship as a printer. From 1907, he was an editor at the "Salzburger Chronik." In 1915, he served in the First World War and was a prisoner of war in Russia until 1920. He was arrested several times between 1938 and 1944. After 1945, he served as editor-in-chief of the "Salzburger Nachrichten" until 1949.
