Josefine Lindorfer, née Murhammer (* February 2, 1899 in Hallein; † November 18, 1942, murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp, Poland), was an opponent of National Socialism from Hallein.
Life
Josefine Lindorfer, who lived at Neualm 327, was arrested in Salzburg in April 1942 for anti-Nazi activities. She died in the Auschwitz concentration camp, allegedly of pneumonia. Josefine-Lindorfer-Platz (Hallein) in Hallein is named after her, and a Stolperstein (stumbling stone) was laid in her honor on July 15, 2015, by Stolperstein initiator Gunter Demnig.
