Powołany do służby wojskowej w BPRPiech. nr 7. Odbył ćwiczenia rezerwy w 63 pp (1932, 1934), 60 pp (1937) i 29 pp (1938) jako dowódca plut. Przydzielony do 72 pp, w 1939 dowódca plut. w 1 komp. ckm. Instruktor JHP.
