MIHELOVITCH SHEFTEL HENEHOVITCH, 26.4.1909, Yelgava. Before war math, teacher in Riga Secondary School. Volunt. in 201 Latv. Rifle Div. Serg. Mayor since Aug. 1941. Wounded in battle near Moscow. After recovering till Dec. 1945 in military units of no Lat. units, was wounded for the second time. Dec. with Patriotic War I Degree Order, For Defense of Moscow medal. After war returned to his work as math, teacher in Daugavpils. Doctor of mathematics sciences, assist, prof, of mathematics in Daugavpils Pedagogical Institute. Died in 1981. [pic]
