Daina Brūvele has been the chairwoman of Latvia Nursing and Health Care Personnel trade union (LĀADA) since November, 2000.

'Latvia Nursing and Health Care Personnel trade union' (LĀADA) was founded and registered in March, 1992. LĀADA has been a member of the Union of Latvia Independent trade unions (LBAS) since 1996. Daina Brūvele is a member of the Gender equality Board of LBAS since 1998.

LĀADA represents and defends interests of its members in dialogues with employers and signs agreements with the Hospital unions, the Welfare Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Health care employers association (VADDA) in the private sector. LĀADA became a member of CESI in 2002.
