Son of actress Romy Schneider and director Harry Meyen. David fell on a fence outside of his stepfather's parents' home and ruptured his femoral artery which caused his death.
Following the death of Romy in 1982, longtime friend Alain Delon made arrangements to have David's remains interred with those of his mother.
