BASH ABRAM, 25.08.1920, Riga; member of "Beitar"; illegally emigrated to Palestine. In 1941 he fought in the British Army, was taken prisoner; in 1945 he escaped from captivity and continued to serve in the British Army. He was responsible for the safety of arms; later he was accused in collaboration with the enemy, arrested and banished to c/camp in Kenya till 1947. In July 1948 he returned to Israel, where he's living now. His brother MENDEL survived the Ghetto of Riga, he's author of the "Requiem".
