Sir George Christie, CH (31 December 1934 – 7 May 2014) was a major figure in UK classical music circles. He was the son of John Christie, whom he succeeded as chairman of Glyndebourne Opera. His mother was singer Audrey Mildmay.

Christie was knighted in 1984 and appointed a Companion of Honour in 2001. In 2013 he won a special Lifetime Achievement Award at the Opera Awards in London.

Sir George Christie's eldest son, Hector, was briefly in the news in 2012 when he joined the Occupy London movement and was arrested.
