Datiko Zurabovich Tomanidze (1970 — 2004) was born on July 4, 1970 in Tskhinvali. He had two more brothers: Aliko Tomanidze (born 1946) and Vakhtang Tomanidze (1969 — 1998), who were also involved in crime and were members of the Rustavi organized crime group. Since childhood, he has been engaged in hooliganism and theft. From the age of 18 he worked for the Rustavi organized crime group. In the early 1990s, he became a thug and the main bodyguard of the thief-in-law Dzambo Dzambidze (Young Jumbo). He often appeared on bandit shooters and in 1993 participated in the execution of Ingush bandits from the Ingush brotherhood, who were fighting for supremacy in the North Caucasus with the Rustavi organized criminal group. Then Dato Tomanidze participated in the creation of businessmen who did not agree to cooperate with Jumbo.

In 2004, at a face-to-face meeting in Tbilisi, Jumbo and several other high-ranking officials were detained by police officers during a Georgian police operation aimed at catching thieves in law and criminal authorities. When Jumbo tried to escape from detention, his bodyguard Dato Tomanidze (Dato Tskhinvali) was detained. He was buried in Tskhinvali, the entire top of the Rustavi organized crime group (Varzo Vladikavkazsky, Baguette Ufa, Gurgen Digorsky, etc.) and Dzambo Dzambidze, who had been detained by the police before, but allowed to attend the funeral.
